Our Approach

Our Mission

We are dedicated to promoting gender equality, sustainability, and social inclusion within the energy sector. Our mission is to advance innovative solutions to the pressing challenges of climate change through comprehensive education and training, impactful policy advocacy, cutting-edge research and development, and robust networking and partnerships.

Our Vision

To create a world where women are empowered to play a leading role in the transition to sustainable energy, driving innovation and sustainable development across the globe.

Our Story

Empowering women to lead the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon energy future.

Recognizing the significant yet underrepresented role of women in the energy sector, a group of passionate women leaders, engineers, and energy advocates came together to form Women in Energy and Climate Action (WIECA).

Our journey began with a shared vision that is to address the gender gap in the energy workforce, specifically in technical and leadership roles, and to amplify the voices of women who are disproportionately affected. We saw an urgent need to create a platform where women could not only participate in the transition to sustainable energy but also lead and inspire change towards cleaner energy solutions.

WIECA is forming a dynamic network of women and stakeholders committed to fostering gender equality in the energy sector. We believe that empowering women is not just about inclusion — it’s about innovation, resilience, and building sustainable solutions to the global energy and climate challenges we face today.

Our story is one of purpose and passion, rooted in the belief that a just and inclusive energy transition is only possible when women have a seat at the table, their voices are heard, and their leadership is recognized.

Join us in shaping a future where women drive the sustainable energy revolution.
